I was thinking it is a scam, but it actually worked. I tried to call cricket 10 times, all the time they asked me for a stupid PIN code I set at purchase, but I am not the original owner, how could I know it? Why do I need to prove something to unlock the phone?

Skeptical about third-party unlocks, but Unlockbase has a long track record. When I hit an error unlocking my iPhone 15 (AT&T) myself, I emailed customer service. They replied quickly, confirming their $19.99 out-of-contract unlock would work and promising a refund if it failed. I took the risk. It was longer than 5 days (10), but the code, what I keeped worked well with my really old sonyericsson w300i. So now I can use my old phone again.
